Are you the kind of person who spots a trip hazard from across the room and already has a plan to fix it? Do you thrive in environments where labs, robots, and job sites collide - and safety is the glue that holds it all together? If so, this role is for you.
We're on a mission to reinvent how materials move and are stored across industries. As our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you'll be the driving force behind a culture of safety, sustainability, and operational excellence - from R&D labs to manufacturing floors to customer construction sites.
What You'll Be Doing
Design and lead company-wide EHS programs that keep people safe and operations compliant

Train employees, contractors, and field techs on safety protocols, emergency preparedness, and best practices
Develop sustainability initiatives that reduce waste, improve energy efficiency, and support our eco-conscious mission
Own compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and local regulations - and keep documentation sharp and audit-ready
Lead incident investigations and corrective actions with a proactive, no-blame mindset
Create site‑specific safety plans for customer installations and ensure field teams follow lockout/tagout, fall protection, hot work, and other critical protocols
Represent the company on job sites, coordinate with GCs and subcontractors, and lead toolbox talks like a pro
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, construction, or field deployment environments
Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926/1910, EPA regulations, and local safety codes
Experience with robotics, equipment installation, or construction site safety is a big plus
Excellent communication and collaboration skills - especially with customers and contractors
Willingness to travel regularly and work in dynamic field conditions

Benefits
Competitive salary + equity in a fast‑growing, mission‑driven company
Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), commuter benefits, and even pet insurance
Flexible PTO and flexible hours – because life happens
A collaborative, hands‑on culture where labs and laptops live side by side
Daily lunch and snacks, shared stories at the long table, and a team that actually enjoys working together
Compensation Range:
$165,000 - $175,000/year (Bay Area benchmark; may vary by location and experience)
If you're ready to lead with purpose, protect what matters, and help shape the future of industrial safety - we'd love to hear from you.
