Development Associate
A mission-driven real estate development and investment firm focused on
affordable housing and multifamily communities
is seeking a
Development Associate
to join its Miami-based team. The firm is actively expanding its pipeline across South Florida and is looking for a highly capable professional to take on elevated responsibilities in project execution, financing, and cross-functional coordination.
This is an excellent growth role for someone with foundational development experience who is ready to take on more ownership of complex, impactful projects.
Qualifications
2–4+ years of experience in real estate development, affordable housing, acquisitions, construction management, or a closely related discipline.
Strong financial modeling skills and
proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
Familiarity with
affordable housing finance , LIHTC, or public funding programs is a strong plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Able to transfer skills
Key Responsibilities
Lead portions of the
development lifecycle , including feasibility analysis, due diligence, entitlements, design coordination, financing, and construction oversight.
Build and refine
financial models
to evaluate deal feasibility, capital structures, and returns.
Prepare and manage
funding applications
(including LIHTC, local subsidies, grants, and public financing programs).
Assist with or lead communication among architects, engineers, consultants, governmental agencies, and community stakeholders.
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with lender, investor, and regulatory expectations.
Support internal investment memos, project updates, and presentations to senior leadership.
Conduct market research, demographic analysis, and affordability assessments relevant to the firm’s development pipeline.
