Tax Manager
Position Overview The Tax Manager will oversee and manage tax compliance and planning activities for a diverse client base in a public accounting firm. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure they meet all tax obligations while maximizing tax efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and review tax returns including 1040, 1041, 1120, and 1120S forms.
Supervise and mentor junior tax staff and provide training on tax compliance and planning.
Develop tax strategies that maximize benefits and minimize liabilities for clients.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IRS regulations and tax law changes to advise clients accordingly.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide tax-related guidance.
Assist with tax audits and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Active CPA license required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.
Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
