Senior Electrical Engineer - Midstream & Power Generation

Summary The Electrical Engineer will design, optimize, and maintain electrical systems for pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. You’ll integrate technologies such as automation and real-time monitoring to improve efficiency, ensure safety through arc‑flash mitigation and fault detection, and uphold regulatory and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
Assist or lead design, construction, commissioning, and startup of electrical systems and facility upgrades
Troubleshoot and maintain low/medium/high voltage systems, generators, switchgear, VFDs, MCCs, and transformers
Support power generation assets: performance testing, load analysis, grounding, and protection coordination
Perform electrical modeling, reliability analysis, and standards/code compliance reviews (NEC, NFPA, IEEE)
Maintain electrical drawings, collaborate with operations, I&E techs, contractors, and engineering partners
Provide field support and mentor others
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar – MUST be ABET accredited
Minimum 6 years of engineering experience in natural gas, petrochemical, or similar industries
P.E. license preferred
Proficiency in reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
