The Opportunity EQL Edtech is exclusively recruiting on behalf of our partner client: a high‑growth, seed‑stage startup in Seattle building the next generation of "AI Employees." This is not a standard sales role. This is a Founder‑Track opportunity. We are looking for someone who has either tried starting a company before, or who plans to found one in the future. Our client is redefining professional automation. You will be the first GTM hire, working directly across the desk from the technical founders. You won't just be executing a sales playbook; you will be writing it, testing it, and scaling it from zero to one.

The Mission: Build the Engine You will own the outbound engine entirely. Your goal is to drive early customer acquisition and shape the DNA of the commercial team.

Hunt & Close: Design and execute high‑volume outbound campaigns (cold email, calling, LinkedIn) to book meetings and close deals

Architect the Playbook: Iterate on positioning and messaging. You will determine who the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) is and how to sell to them

Build the Stack: Set up and optimize the sales infrastructure (CRM, Sales Ops, funnel metrics) using modern tools like Clay, Apollo, and HubSpot

Shape the Product: You are the voice of the customer. You will channel feedback from the front lines back to the engineering team to influence product strategy

Requirements The Toolkit You Bring

Experience: 3-5 years in GTM, Lead Generation, or B2B SaaS sales (full‑cycle AE or high‑performing SDR ready to step up)

The "Founder" Spark: You have founder ambitions or previous entrepreneurial experience. You treat the company's money and time like your own

Modern GTM Tech: Familiarity with next‑gen sales tools like Apollo, Clay, and HubSpot is highly desired. You love experimenting with new channels

Target Market Expertise: Experience selling to Professional Services (Law firms, Financial Advisors, CPA firms, etc.) is a massive advantage

AI Fluency: Experience selling AI, automation, or productivity tools is preferred

Communication: You are a strong writer. You know how to craft cold emails that get opened and responses that convert
