Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Source, evaluate, and manage a robust supplier base for raw materials, components, and MRO.
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
Collaborate with production and planning teams to ensure timely availability of materials and minimize stockouts.
Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks to inform purchasing decisions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing processes and supplier performance.
Ensure all purchased materials and services meet required quality standards and specifications.
Recommended Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced data analysis skills.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and quality standards.
Proven ability to drive cost savings and optimize supply chain efficiencies.
Bonus Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience with global sourcing and international logistics.
Advanced proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365) for purchasing modules.
