Senior Accountant (Experienced Senior Accountant)

Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
Our client is redefining the EV charging experience by providing cutting-edge solutions for forward-thinking enterprises. Combining hardware and software expertise with a deep understanding of Enterprise SaaS, they offer an end-to-end EV charging platform tailored to meet the needs of diverse businesses. As they expand their presence and impact, they’re looking for an entrepreneurially-minded Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, support the month-end close process, and drive overall excellence across the accounting ecosystem.
This is primarily an in‑person role in Santa Monica (Los Angeles), CA, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.
Responsibilities
Lead accounts receivable (vendor onboarding, invoice processing, etc.) and accounts payable (customer collections, billing, cash application, etc.) functions
Prep and review cash, liability, and asset account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements, ensuring all are in accordance with GAAP
Work with the Controller on monthly, quarterly, and annual year‑end close processes, ensuring financial reporting is timely and accurate
Review and process expense reports for employees, ensuring compliance with all company policies and best practices
Use NetSuite and other accounting software to generate reports and analyze financial data
Maintain well‑organized accounting and financial records to support audit and reporting functions
Alongside the Controller, create and implement strategic process improvements that serve to strengthen internal controls
Ensure accurate financial data insights and reporting by working cross‑functionally with operations, sales, and HR departments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field; required
CPA license or progress toward CPA licensure, a plus
2-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 in a high‑growth startup or similar environment
NetSuite experience is preferred; experience with Bill.com and Ramp are a plus
Experience with revenue billing and/or collections; inventory and/or cost accounting background would be beneficial
Excellent knowledge of GAAP requirements and financial reporting procedures
Best‑in‑class Excel skills, comfortable working with large data sets
Ability to wear multiple hats and maintain priorities in a fast‑paced environment, comfortable taking initiative without constant supervision/direction
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Passion for and excitement about the company’s mission and values
