Position Summary
The
Global Credit Risk Director
is responsible for setting and overseeing the global credit risk strategy to support business growth while safeguarding company assets. This role leads the assessment of customer credit worthiness, develops risk frameworks, and ensures consistent credit governance across all regions and business units. The ideal candidate combines deep analytical expertise with leadership capabilities and cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities Credit Risk Management
Develop, implement, and maintain global credit policies and procedures
Oversee risk assessment processes, including credit scoring, exposure limits across multiple ERPs, and customer segmentation
Lead credit reviews and escalation of high‑risk accounts
Global Oversight & Governance
Ensure consistent credit practices across regions (Americas, Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe, South Africa)
Establish and enforce internal credit risk controls aligned with corporate and regulatory standards
Serve as the company’s authority on credit risk matters for audits and compliance reviews
Portfolio & Performance Monitoring
Analyze global AR portfolio trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
Monitor KPIs (e.g., DSO, bad debt %, % current AR) and implement corrective actions as needed with Collections Teams
Identify and mitigate systemic risks through scenario planning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Legal, Treasury, and Finance to balance growth with risk control
Work closely with Collections, Dispute Resolution, and Order‑to‑Cash teams
Collaborate with IT and automation teams to implement credit risk tools and dashboards
Qualifications
Required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
10–15+ years of experience in credit risk management
Global experience in a B2B enterprise environment (energy industry preferred)
Strong understanding of financial statements, credit scoring models, and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud, Oracle EBS, JDE)
Experience with automation and credit platforms (e.g., HighRadius, Blackline)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Strong analytical mindset and ability to influence executive decisions
