MissionXI are working with a leading contractor focused on mission‑critical and data center construction across the U.S. Following a very successful year, our client is seeking to grow the Preconstruction team in Dallas, and they are looking for a Senior Estimator with strong data center estimation experience to replicate these results in 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates for data center projects, focusing on electrical and/or MEP scopes.
Review drawings, specifications, RFQs, and scope documents to develop accurate takeoffs and costing.
Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.
Develop and maintain cost databases, historical pricing, and production metrics.
Participate in preconstruction meetings, client presentations, and project handoff sessions.
Support value engineering efforts and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure bid accuracy and constructability.
Manage deadlines and deliver high‑quality estimates for competitive and negotiated bids.
Assist with procurement strategy, bid leveling, and contract award recommendations.

Qualifications
3+ years of estimating experience in electrical and/or MEP construction.
Demonstrated experience in estimating data center and/or other high‑value mission critical projects.
Strong understanding of electrical distribution, mechanical systems, and related infrastructure.
Proficient with estimating software, takeoff tools, and Excel.
Ability to read and interpret complex plans, specifications, and technical documents.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
