This position doesn’t need to be the expert, but needs to have a high aptitude for learning, organization, curiosity, and communication to keep the vendors and our team on track. Everyone in our team should be ready to help out when necessary and stay open to handling smaller tasks that keep operations running smoothly. Internally, our team has two other employees who report to this position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute IT strategy in partnership with business leaders
Oversee daily IT operations, vendors, equipment, budgets, and managed services
Lead projects and sometimes be hands‑on, including system upgrades, migrations, and data analytics, including an upgrade to our AMS.
Oversee vendors not under contract with BDO, such as Zoom, office wi‑fi, conference room technology, printers, copiers, and cloud fax service.
Ensure IT security, data privacy, and compliance
Facilitate data oversight, including benchmarking, metrics, and quality.
Support and train staff in new technologies, including AI
Manage website integrations and business‑critical systems
Supervise IT team members and foster professional growth
Facilitate ongoing technology and cybersecurity training
Maintain disaster recovery plans and business continuity
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science or related field)
7–10 years’ IT leadership experience in the IT field
