Physician – Family Medicine
Full‑time position at Ascension – Sussex Clinic, Sussex, WI
Job Overview This full‑time Family Medicine practice provides patient‑centered primary care in a collaborative, team‑based setting. Physicians are responsible for on‑site patient evaluations, continuous quality improvement, and community educational outreach.
Practice Details
Call rotation: Monday–Thursday nights; weekend rotation 1:7 (increasing to 1:8 Nov 2026)
Staffing: 1 MD + 1 NP, each with 1:1 MA support; remote RN triage support via regional pool
EMR: EPIC
Facility age: ~6 years
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
Recommend and participate in cost‑effective quality improvement initiatives.
Accept referrals, serve as admitting/attending/consulting physician as needed.
Provide documentation meeting insurance requirements; promptly appeal denials.
Participate in inpatient/outpatient consults, including on‑call schedules.
Engage in academic programs such as medical education and research as requested.
Qualifications
MD or DO credentialed by the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
Experience and competency in Family Medicine practice.
