General Manager
As a General Manager (GM), you’ll provide reliable financial solutions to help customers manage everyday challenges. As the driving force behind the store’s success, you’ll manage daily operations and lead your team to grow revenue, uphold compliance, and build brand loyalty through world-class customer service. It’s a high-performance, customer-focused environment designed to inspire growth and innovation.
What You’ll Do – Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Manage overall store performance by meeting or exceeding Company performance standards.
Coach, lead, and develop all team members to build new business and increase store growth by demonstrating knowledge of and training on systems, Company standards, account management, recovery (collections), job duties, and reports.
Lead local marketing strategies, use B2B partnership opportunities, obtain referrals, host and participate in community and in-store events to steer growth and build revenue.
Examine, evaluate, and process loan/pawn applications and all relevant transactions, and assess risk within established limits.
Enforce adherence to quality standards, procedures, and local and state laws and regulations. Participate in audits and compliance reviews as directed by the corporate office or District Manager.
Supervise and maintain office security including cash management and loss prevention by verifying and documenting cash overages/shortages, vault, inventory, deposits, and expenses.
Conduct proper opening and closing procedures and train new staff in keyholder duties.
Participate in the selection, review, hiring, and retention of new employees.
Develop work schedules in accordance with budget, workloads, and store needs. Ensure the store is staffed for optimal performance.
Handle complex customer situations that arise with integrity and professionalism.
Monitor and maintain internal and external store appearance and address basic facility needs, including scheduling maintenance services. This includes overseeing the store planogram and ensuring seasonal and/or promotional marketing material are displayed properly.
Work efficiently in a rapidly changing, fast‑paced environment and handle multiple challenging tasks with ease to meet individual and team performance standards. Conduct additional tasks as directed by leadership.
Maintain a full‑time work schedule with regular, in‑person attendance, including weekends.
Qualifications And Skills
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years’ experience with proven success in a supervisory or leadership role in retail, finance, service, or related industries.
Operations experience in a leadership capacity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in using phones, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other systems.
Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle to use throughout the workday.
Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
li>Background check required. The ability to meet the physical demands of this position, which frequently includes remaining in a stationary position, including standing up to 90% of the time; moving and transporting up to 25 pounds; moving inside and outside of the store; and operating mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
Nice to Haves – Preferred Qualifications And Skills
Associates degree or higher.
Experience in check cashing, document verification, money order processing.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus and may be required for certain locations.
Compensation Hourly rate $19.25 with eligibility for performance bonuses.
