Mechanical Engineering Manager (Director Track Available)
A long‑established industrial manufacturing company serving the chemical, petrochemical, refining, and power markets is seeking a hands‑on Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead and grow its engineering team. This role combines technical ownership of pressure vessel/heat exchanger design with team leadership and direct client interaction.
Pay Range Base: $110,000.00/yr – $150,000.00/yr
What You’ll Do
Lead all static equipment engineering activities for pressure vessels and heat exchangers
Perform hands‑on design, calculations, and code compliance work (ASME Sec VIII, API 650, TEMA, etc.)
Oversee and mentor junior engineers and drafting staff
Collaborate with project managers and participate in client technical calls
Review specs, develop engineering packages, and coordinate with fabrication teams
Create engineering calculation reports and provide drafting direction
Serve as the technical expert for shop engineering and problem‑solving
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of relevant experience in pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or heavy industrial equipment
Proficiency with COMPRESS, PV Elite, and SolidWorks
Strong knowledge of ASME Code (Section VIII Div 1 required; Div 2 preferred)
Ability to work independently and thrive in a hands‑on, non‑micromanaged environment
Strong communication skills with both internal teams and client engineering groups
PE license is a plus.
Director title available for the right candidate.
