is seeking a

Cloud Solution Architect (Database Specialist)

that has a passion for cloud concepts, system integration, and cloud migrations to support customer‑facing engagements along with internal Oracle sales efforts. This role is ideal for someone tired of working on the same project or technology for months or years without future growth.

Key Specialties

Database – data management, Oracle polyglot database, GoldenGate data replication

Analytics – Data Lake solutions, Big Data, Hadoop – MapReduce, Apache Spark

Oracle AI Data Platform – Unifying Data for Scalable Enterprise AI

This is a hybrid role based in the Reston VA/Greater Washington DC area. The position typically requires working onsite at our office or client locations 3–4 days per week, with flexibility to work remotely 1–2 days per week.

Responsibilities

Understand, identify, and document client requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate, and implement information systems solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security, and service delivery.

Provide pre‑sales technical and functional support to prospective clients while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Act as a technical resource, mentor, and leader for less experienced Solution Engineers.

Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concept implementations.

Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction, and overall Oracle solutions.

Design, validate, and present Oracle cloud architecture solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and third‑party complementary products.

Support sales team in online and in‑person selling efforts with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Knowledge and experience with any public cloud provider including Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google (GCP) architecture, tools, and cloud methodologies.

Solution Architect and/or Developer Certification on Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Cloud computing experience.

10+ years relevant computer applications or database/tools experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with government accreditations for cloud such as FedRAMP, Impact Level, and ICD 503.

Ability to travel as needed; approximately 25% of the time.

BS degree or equivalent.

Cloud certifications are highly desirable.

Oracle product experience highly desirable.

Job duties are varied and complex, requiring independent judgment.

May have a project lead role.

Eligibility Must have an active or ability to obtain and maintain Secret or TS/SCI clearance – US Citizen.

Benefits and Compensation

US: Hiring Range in USD from $113,100 – $185,100 per year. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.
