What to Expect At Tesla, data-driven insights are crucial to informing our Recruiting & People strategy. We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our team and help us drive this effort.

The People Analytics team is embedded within the Recruiting & HR organization and contributes to decisions made throughout the company. We're constantly refining our approach to data analysis to better understand hiring trends and their impact on Tesla's work. We custom-build tools to derive insights and create a real-time feedback loop with our internal customers.

The Data Analyst will create reporting models that analyze key performance indicators, contribute to the growth of our in-house data tools, and work directly with engineers on the team to make system improvements.

What You'll Do

Apply a product-centric approach to data and reporting, ensuring discoverability through user-friendly documentation and trustworthiness with rigorous data tests

Design, build, and maintain data models to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility for analysis

Collect, analyze, and present data from the system when provided a subset of potentially unrelated data points/filters to draw conclusions

Effectively communicate data analysis to non-technical audiences unfamiliar with the domain

Recognize patterns to define gaps in upstream systems and drive change to close these gaps with responsible parties (end users, system admins, etc.)

Ensure successful integration with downstream systems and accurate reporting to stakeholders

What You'll Bring

Degree in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or related, or equivalent experience

Previous experience working with Recruiting or People teams, or in-depth knowledge of the full-cycle recruiting process

Prior relational database experience

Proficiency in SQL and other common query languages

Understanding of CI/CD workflows and automated testing

Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)

Critical thinking and a first principles approach to problem solving

Expected Compensation $108,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
