Instrumentation and Controls Engineer – Intermediate (Data Centers)
Position: Instrumentation and Controls Engineer – Intermediate (Data Centers)
Location Open to qualified candidates across the United States. Candidates ideally near a Jacobs U.S. office.
Base pay range $69,500 – $95,500 per year
Responsibilities
Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document/design information.
Assist with startup activities and on‑site support.
Coordinate work activities with staff and discipline lead.
Design and optimize control systems for industrial and commercial facilities.
Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 2 years experience in instrumentation and control.
Knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other control applications preferred.
Experience in data centers.
Engineer in Training (EIT) status preferred.
Strong verbal, written, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, and eager to learn best practices.
