Base pay range $28.00/hr - $00
Era Living is seeking a Dining Services Director to join our team at our Ida Culver House Broadview, a beautiful retirement community in North Seattle, WA. This is a unique opportunity to bring restaurant operations expertise into a setting where you have the opportunity to get to know each of your customers well and make a meaningful difference in their lives. Our dining room serves nearly 300 seniors. Join us to escape the long and unpredictable hours of the restaurant industry or to grow into overseeing a bigger operation within the senior living industry. Ida Culver House Broadview is close to several bus lines and has free street parking available nearby.

Primary Responsibilities
Supervises more than 50 dining room staff and oversees all aspects of daily operations of the Dining Room to ensure the highest quality of service to residents and their guests.
Develops staff schedules, ensuring adequate staffing for all shifts, with consideration of budget and quality of service for all meals and special events.
Acts as a member and contributor to the community’s leadership team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of food service management
Exceptional customer service and collaboration skills
Basic technical knowledge and dining room administrative knowledge
Ability to hire, train, direct, motivate and supervise others
Interpersonal skills when interacting with residents, family members, visitors and co-workers
Proficiency with Word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail and the Internet
Ability to read, write and communicate in EnglishAbility to pass DSHS background check, required
Education and Experience
Must have 2-5 years of experience in restaurant or retirement food service
Supervisory skills required
Food handlers permit, CPR and First Aid certification, and Alcohol Serving Certification
