Senior Electrical Engineer - P2S
Full‑time, Senior level. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 remote. Salary $150,000 – $215,000, dependent on experience. Location: Seattle, WA.
P2S is a provider of professional engineering services to various markets including higher education, healthcare, ports/harbors, industrial, entertainment, commercial, laboratories, municipal, and federal sectors. Our offices are located in Long Beach, Seattle, Irvine, San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Jose.
Position Requirements
Technical:
Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer license required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in design of federal, ports, healthcare, education, or infrastructure projects.
Proven leadership of electrical design projects.
Strong experience in QA/QC on multidisciplinary projects and mentoring emerging professionals.
Experience preparing fee proposals and qualification packages for project pursuits.
Project‑management skills: work‑breakdown structure, budget tracking, schedule, client interface, and relationship building.
Proficiency with NEC, AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit.
Experience with delivery methods such as design‑build, GCCM, and design‑bid‑build.
Knowledge of project types: Electrical Equipment Replacement, Renovation – MEPT Design, New Construction – MEPT Design, Underground Electrical Infrastructure, Emergency Power System Design (Generator, UPS, Inverter), Electrification.
Non‑technical professional qualities: mentoring, process improvement, constructive feedback, team focus, self‑motivation, organization, and leadership aspiration.
Working Knowledge:
National Electrical Code (required).
Washington state codes (preferred).
Unified Facilities Criteria – preferred.
FGI Guidelines – preferred.
ETAP/SKM – preferred.
Microsoft Office Suite.
Revit – plus.
AutoCAD – plus.
Duties
Pre‑Design Engineering – perform field surveys, gather information, prepare site assessment reports, and develop electrical schematic designs.
Design Engineering – create power single‑line and riser diagrams; conduct calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM; design low‑ and medium‑voltage infrastructure; design equipment replacement projects; apply CAD/BIM standards; perform QA/QC; coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural disciplines.
Project Management – lead projects with a service‑first mindset; oversee MEP design for medium‑to‑large projects; mentor junior engineers; support proposal preparation; maintain documentation and quality standards.
Construction Administration – respond to RFIs; review submittals; collaborate with contractors and field teams; conduct punch walks and prepare punch lists; serve as technical advocate for the client.
