The Senior Tax Manager will lead the tax planning and compliance efforts for our clients, providing expert guidance and ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations. This role involves managing a team of tax professionals and collaborating with various departments to optimize tax strategies while minimizing risks.
Flexible hybrid schedule from our Tempe, Woodlands or Las Vegas office.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the tax compliance process for clients, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize client tax positions.
Provide expert advice on complex tax issues and regulations to clients and internal stakeholders.
Oversee a team of tax professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to enhance their skills and performance.
Review and analyze financial statements and tax provisions to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Conduct tax research and stay updated on changing tax regulations and industry trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Master's Degree in Taxation (preferred)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
8+ Years of Public Accounting Experience in Income Tax Preparation for Individuals, Partnerships/LLCs, S Corporations, C Corporations, Trusts, Estates, and Non-Profit Organizations
5+ Years of Management Experience
Experience with Real Estate and High-Net-Worth Individuals (PLUS)
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proven experience in managing tax compliance and planning projects.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
