LHH is partnering with a highly respected law firm in Newport Beach to hire a Probate Litigation Assistant. You'll provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support on probate litigation, trust & estate disputes, and general civil matters. This is an in-person role supporting a fast-paced team where accuracy, organization, and a strong work ethic are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Litigation Department with end-to-end case management for civil and probate litigation matters.
- Draft, format, and proofread pleadings, motions, affidavits, petitions, complaints, and legal memoranda with high accuracy.
- E-file (and paper-file when required) documents in state and federal courts; ensure proper formatting and compliance.
- Identify items for docketing; track court and case deadlines using firm systems; own calendar management for assigned matters.
- Review, organize, and summarize case materials, mail, and related documents; prepare matrices, charts, and spreadsheets.
- Assist with arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation (binders, exhibit lists, logistics).
- Maintain accurate billable time records and process routine administrative tasks (attorney calendars, expense reports).
- Learn and utilize the firm's document management tools (Microsoft Office Suite and NetDocs) effectively.
- Undergraduate degree and/or ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of probate litigation experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of probate procedures, local courts, and relevant forms; fluent in legal terminology.
- Proficient in e-filing (state & federal); keeps abreast of court rules and deadlines.
- 100% onsite in Newport Beach, CA.
- Parking is paid for.
- This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $80,000 to $105,000 annual salary and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, and 401k plans.
