Job Description The Boston University Pulmonary Center, Bosmann Lab is recruiting a Research Laboratory Technician for projects focused on the molecular immune response to infections. The role involves work with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), pneumonia, and sepsis, studying mouse models of disease, cell cultures, and various immunology and molecular biology techniques.
Responsibilities
Perform and assist in studies involving animal models of disease, including mouse survival surgery.
Conduct mouse genotyping and manage mouse breeding colonies.
Handle cell cultures and perform immunology methods such as ELISA, PCR, Western blotting, and lung histology.
Carry out basic laboratory management and organization tasks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
0 to 3 years of experience in a research laboratory setting.
