Position Overview:
The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will work under the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects. This role involves coordinating with various teams, managing resources, and maintaining communication with stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Core Duties Project Identification and Review
Lead weekly internal project review meetings.
Manage Project Portfolio to reflect current project statuses and priorities.
Project Budget Review
Manage project budgets and prepare change orders when required.
Ensure projects are delivered within the allocated budget.
Resource Scheduling
Collaborate with the Director of PMO and Service Desk Supervisor to schedule resources for projects.
Optimize resource allocation to meet project demands.
SOW, Project Plan, And Quotes Creation
Collaborate with the project team to create Statements of Work (SOWs), Project Plans, and quotes.
Ensure all project documentation is accurate and comprehensive.
Document And Process Management
Collaborate with the project team to draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation.
Maintain and update project documentation as needed.
Project Management
Conduct project kick-off and review meetings with clients.
Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise.
Project Delivery
Assist with the delivery and coordination of projects both remotely and onsite.
Ensure projects are completed on time and meet client expectations.
Client Onboarding
Collaborate with the Sales Director to manage the new client onboarding process from start to finish.
Ensure a smooth transition for new clients into the organization.
Technology Assessment
Collaborate with the service team to prepare Technology Assessments for new and existing clients.
Provide recommendations based on assessment findings.
Responsibilities
Develop goals and strategies for projects. Implements plans and evaluates progress. Refines plans, presents information and results to constituents.
Manages training of staff, evaluates workflow, onboarding and productivity and conducts performance evaluations.
Experience & Skills Requirements
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical, non-technical staff, and stakeholders.
Experience in IT Infrastructure project management is required.
Experience in strategic planning, risk management and change management.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
Adaptability: Adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is required. Additional certifications in ITIL, Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies are a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
Qualifications
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in project management.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex data, and use it to make strategic decisions.
Financial Management: Understanding of financial management principles to oversee project budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Time Management: Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Software Skills: Proficiency in using project management software tools.
Interpersonal Skills
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.
