Synergy Interactive is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead new client acquisition and drive revenue growth. This role is focused on winning new business rather than managing existing accounts. The person will generate leads, build relationships, secure new clients in the technology, marketing, and creative sectors, and transition those accounts to the delivery team. The role will eventually evolve into building and managing a small sales team once consistent production is established.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Acquisition

Identify, pursue, and close new clients within technology, digital, and creative markets.

Leverage prior staffing industry experience and existing relationships to bring business on board.

Run the full sales cycle from prospecting to signed agreements, then hand off to account management and recruiting teams.

Meet and exceed revenue and activity targets.

Strategic Growth Leadership

Develop and execute a clear go-to-market strategy for expanding Synergy Interactive’s client base.

Analyze market trends and competitive data to prioritize target accounts.

Partner with leadership to refine sales processes, pricing, and go-to-market materials.

Future Team Building

After demonstrating individual sales success, take the lead in hiring and developing a small team of business development representatives.

Establish performance expectations, coaching rhythms, and metrics for the sales function.

Collaboration and Internal Alignment

Work closely with recruiting leadership to ensure smooth client handoffs and effective delivery.

Maintain accurate activity and pipeline tracking in CRM systems.

Represent Synergy Interactive in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

Five to seven years plus of experience in staffing sales, preferably in the technology, digital, or creative sector.

Proven ability to open new accounts and consistently hit revenue targets.

Existing book of business or strong relationships that translate into immediate opportunities.

Strong understanding of recruiting operations and the account handoff process.

Ability to operate independently and later shift into a player-coach leadership role.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work onsite Monday-Thursday in our Altamonte Springs office, with WFH on Friday.
