Our Finance team at Altera plays a critical role in shaping strategy, driving profitability, and supporting growth in a dynamic, high-tech environment.### ### **Position Overview**The R&D Financial Specialist will support **R&D expense** **management, financial planning, forecasting, and analysis** for Altera’s semiconductor business. This role partners with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Product Management—to provide insights that influence strategic decisions and optimize financial performance.### ### **Key Responsibilities*** **R&D Ownership & Reporting**
+ Consolidate and report short- and long-term R&D results.
+ Analyze revenue, cost structure, margins, and profitability trends.
+ Support quarterly and annual financial close processes ensuring accuracy.* **Forecasting & Budgeting**
+ Develop financial models for revenue forecasting, cost analysis, and operating expenses.
+ Assist in annual budgeting and strategic planning processes.
+ Identify key business drivers impacting financial performance.* **Business Performance Analysis**
+ Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. forecast) and provide actionable recommendations.
+ Support pricing strategies, product profitability analysis, and investment decisions.* **Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Partner with Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Product teams to align financial goals with business strategies.
+ Provide financial insights for executive decision-making and strategic initiatives.**Salary Range**The pay range below is for Bay Area California only.
