Assistant Store Manager – O'Reilly Auto Parts Compensation Pay Range:

$16.50 - $24.50 per hour

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence or during shifting. The Assistant Manager leads store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Essential Job Functions

Lead team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.

Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, including execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).

Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours.

Assist in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and maintaining training status.

Assist with hiring: recruiting tasks, scheduling interviews, evaluating candidates, collaborating with management.

Ensure phone calls are answered per company policy.

Process buy online/ship to store, hub‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders; notify customers of shipment arrivals.

Use electronic out‑of‑stock ledger to handle special orders and out‑of‑stock purchases per procedure.

Process retail returns and exchanges efficiently and accurately, issuing refunds correctly.

Ensure merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before leaving store.

Communicate Zipline messages and assign Image Maker/merchandising tasks.

Enforce compliance with company policies for schedules, approvals, clock‑in/out, and security protocols.

Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, maintaining security systems, and securing delivery vehicles.

Assist in maintaining store building, parking lot, signage, equipment, and delivery vehicles.

All other duties as assigned.

ASE Certification

Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
