Assistant Store Manager – O'Reilly Auto Parts

Location: San Jose, CA.
Compensation $17.95 - $24.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Essential Job Functions
Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours.
Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and keeping them current on training.
Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members.
Make sure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
Ensure all buy online/ship-to-store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely and customers are notified upon shipment arrivals as needed.
Utilize the outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure.
Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue accurate refunds, and stage returned merchandise correctly.
Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store.
Communicate Zipline messages, delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
Ensure team members comply with company policies: posted work schedule, changes approved, clocking in/out appropriately.
Perform all store opening/closing duties: day-end procedures, money/deposit verification, bank deposits, security lights, locks, alarms, and delivery vehicle securing.
Help maintain store building, parking lot, signage, lighting, hardware, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
All other duties as assigned.
Required
Sales Specialist Training.
Assistant Manager Certification.
RSS Certification.
Desired
Certified Parts Professional Certification.
ASE Certification.
Fluency in multiple languages. Spanish highly desired.
