Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Clinical Services Representative I in the Rutgers Health University Dental Associates (RHUDA) at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). Under general supervision, the Clinical Services Representative I carries out a variety of front desk services related to cash collections. Additionally, this individual serves as a receptionist, maintains appointment books, requests charts, posts payments, enters and updates patients’ demographic and insurance information and collects copayments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Registers patients presenting for treatment at the Rutgers Health University Dental Associates. Enters all biographic and insurance information into the appropriate computer system. Checks patient identification as required by RSDM / RHUDA policies. Audits that patient data, such as address, is current.
Obtains a copy of patients’ Medicaid/Medicaid HMO card each month, verifies and updates information as needed.
Ensures that the designated insurance copayment is collected before the patient is seen by the student.
Responsible for the collection and posting of patients’ payments. Ensures that the patients’ payments are recorded properly. Prepares computer receipts for patients.
Requests charts for patients of record who will be seen the next day.

Mid Range Salary: 28.130
Maximum Salary: 28.970

Must be able to lift and move supply boxes, 10 pounds.
