Devine Millimet seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its dynamic Litigation team. The successful candidate should have five to twelve plus years of Insurance Defense litigation experience with the proven ability to manage multiple cases and priorities.
Participate in various settlement negotiations
Participate in arbitration and mediations
Take and defend depositions
Effectively develop litigation and claims strategies
Advise clients on all litigation risks
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
Utilize e-discovery software where applicable
Argue motions and cases in state and federal courts
Collaborate on matters with the Litigation team and senior partners as needed
Assist and mentor more junior Attorneys
Manage insurance defense matters, including but not limited to:
First-party property claims
Personal injury
Premises liability
Professional liability
Requirements
5–12+ years of insurance defense litigation experience (coverage, bodily injury, property damage, etc.)
Strong deposition, and trial preparation skills
Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral presentation and advocacy abilities
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and matters in a fast-paced environment
New Hampshire Bar admission is required; admission in MA, ME, or VT is a plus
