Our client is seeking a Part‑time Bookkeeper for a contract position in Chicago, IL. This opportunity is ideal for students or individuals looking for a strict part‑time role offering valuable hands‑on accounting experience. Candidates should have at least one year of bookkeeping and QuickBooks experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and process business documents
- Assist with month‑end close
- Prepare financial and operational variance analysis for management
- Post and reconcile daily cash activities
- Post journal entries to the general ledger
- Maintain and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts
- Ensure all receivables and payables are accurately tracked
- Serve as backup to Senior Accountants
Requirements:
- At least one year of bookkeeping experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work three full days per week
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team‑oriented and detail‑oriented
