Field Service Engineer 1 – Seattle, WA (Downtown) Join GE HealthCare in our mission to transform healthcare worldwide and play a key role in delivering high‑quality medical equipment service to patients.

Role Summary / Purpose The Field Service Engineer performs timely and accurate preventive maintenance and basic repairs on medical equipment, follows field modification instructions and service bulletins, works independently to troubleshoot equipment, supports senior engineers with installations, and drives customer satisfaction through service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Perform timely and accurate preventive maintenance on medical equipment for hospitals or healthcare systems.

Diagnose and repair customer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and assist with equipment installations.

Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution and follow‑up.

Adhere to company policies, procedures and hospital protocols to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

Collaborate with customers and sales teams to recommend value‑added services and work with regional and national support to implement corrective action plans.

Qualifications / Technical Requirements

Associate degree in a related field or equivalent military education and 2 years of experience servicing electronic equipment; or high school diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience; or graduate of the GEHC Apprentice Program.

Valid driver’s license.

Experience with web applications and the Microsoft Office suite.

Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Availability for after‑hours and/or rotating on‑call schedules, including weekends.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical experience in X‑ray equipment.

Physical ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 35 lbs unassisted and perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching and standing for extended periods; good hand and finger dexterity.

Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary range $66,704–$100,056 annually, performance‑based bonus opportunities, comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with employer match, life, disability, accident insurance, tuition reimbursement). Remote role with a company vehicle; relocation assistance provided. Eligible for long‑term incentives (LTIs) and cash bonuses.
