Role Summary / Purpose The Field Service Engineer performs on‑time and accurate Preventative Maintenance for medical equipment and follows all Field Modification Instructions and Instrument Service Information bulletins. The engineer troubleshoots and performs basic repairs, supports more experienced Field Engineers with installations, and drives customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.

Preferred experience in X‑ray but open to other imaging modalities. This is a remote role; a company car is provided. Candidates must reside within 10 miles of downtown Seattle, WA.

Key Roles and Experiences

Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance on medical equipment for hospitals and healthcare systems.

Perform troubleshooting and basic service repairs on customer equipment.

Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installations and complex repairs.

Engage proactively with team members to ensure appropriate solutions for the customer.

Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution, and proper follow‑up to drive satisfaction.

Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to meet regulatory and compliance requirements; document all work performed daily.

Partner with customers and/or sales teams to recommend value‑added services to improve operational efficiency.

Utilize the GEHC escalation process as needed and collaborate with regional and national support to define and implement corrective action plans.

Qualifications / Technical Requirements

Educational and Technical Requirements

Associate degree in a related field or equivalent military education and 2 years of experience servicing electronic equipment.

Or high school diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience.

Or graduate of the GEHC Apprentice Program.

Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

Experience with web applications and Microsoft Office suite.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.

Availability after hours and/or work a rotating on‑call schedule, including weekends.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical capabilities in X‑ray.

Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs unassisted; frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching, kneeling, crawling, sitting, and standing for extended periods; reach above and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; and possess good hand and finger dexterity.

Benefits and Compensation Competitive salary range: $66,704.00–$100,056.00 annually. Eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long‑term incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) plan with company contribution, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
