Clinical Consultant, Solution Deployment Join the role at Becton, Dickinson & Company (BD) – a leading global medical technology company that aims to transform health through innovative solutions.

Job Description Summary The Clinical Consultant is responsible for maintaining and strengthening customer relationships within assigned accounts, ensuring stellar service and supporting BD’s Sales Process. The role serves as an IV therapy clinical expert, applying a consultative approach to design, implement, and optimize BD Infusion product solutions, from pre‑sales through the implementation cycle.

Overall Responsibilities

Demonstrate deep knowledge of clinical operations, products, services, and competitive landscape.

Provide clinical leadership to BD customers in the implementation of interoperability and connectivity solutions.

Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely, high‑quality implementations.

Work with hospital clinicians and EMR vendors to facilitate clinical workflows and develop policies and procedures.

Educate customers on HL7 error codes and resolve issues in partnership with clinical and technical SMEs.

Follow up with customers to assess system performance, satisfaction, and problem resolution.

Recommend enhancements so customers fully realize the benefits of BD solutions.

Operate effectively in a highly regulated environment.

Required Skills and Duties

Facilitate conference calls and customer meetings for BD Infusion product implementations.

Establish rapport with customers, fostering long‑term business relationships.

Provide product information and support to teams as assigned by management.

Mentor team members to build product and process competency.

Deliver clear, concise communication and negotiate to achieve consensus.

Lead customer site assessments and guide project design and implementation.

Provide feedback to Business Operations and Field Trainers for continuous improvement.

Technical Skills

Understanding of clinical workflow processes, drug library build, system integration, device settings, and interface validation.

Ability to guide diverse cross‑functional teams toward desired outcomes.

Knowledge of established Infusion product implementation methodologies and tools.

Strong attention to detail and project coordination prowess.

Critical thinking to improve current clinical practice and standardize across hospital systems.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and system consultation related to clinical workflow and best practices.

Experience installing and supporting BD Infusion hardware and software solutions.

Influence customer acceptance and utilization of BD Infusion products.

Serve as a customer support resource when needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree or certification preferred); equivalent experience acceptable.

4–6 years of experience in a related field or equivalent education and experience.

Current active nursing license required.

Valid driver’s license; minimum age 21.

Home‑based position with travel ranging from 75–100%, including overnight travel; flexible working hours including nights and weekends.

Capability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs (pushing, pulling, stooping, bending).

Proof of current immunizations at hire (Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, TB/PPD, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, COVID‑19). Further immunizations may be required.

Meet vendor credential requirements for assigned customer sites.

Preferred

Acute care hospital experience, especially with nursing informatics or leadership roles; pediatric, NICU, and oncology expertise highly desired.

Specific knowledge of BD business advantageous.

Salary Range $87,500.00 – $144,400.00 USD Annual
