$120K - $220K DOE plus equity

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Photonic Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and components that meet the high-performance requirements of our products. This role requires a strong background in both passive and active photonic components, as well as proficiency in simulation and design tools.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and components for high-speed optical links.
Utilize simulation tools such as Lumerical, Luceda, IPKISS, and OptoCompiler to optimize designs.
Conduct performance analysis and testing of photonic components, both passive and active.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate photonic designs into larger systems.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in photonic technologies and apply them to improve design processes.
Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in photonic IC design and development.
Proficiency in PIC design and familiarity with passive and active photonic components.
Experience with simulation tools such as Comsol, Sentaurus, and Silvaco.
Strong understanding of high-speed optical link design and performance optimization.
