Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist Role
Process weekly and biweekly payroll cycles for all employees.
The Payroll Specialist will audit timesheets and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, and benefit changes.
Prepare and file quarterly payroll tax reports.
The Payroll Specialist will maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Support internal and external audits related to payroll.
Core Competencies of the Payroll Specialist
2-5 years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and wage/hour regulations.
Experience with major payroll systems (ADP, Paycor, or Paychex).
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
