Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position for a UPK (Universal Pre-Kindergarten) Lead Teacher located in Brooklyn, NY. The UPK Lead Teacher will be responsible for preparing and delivering age-appropriate lesson plans, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, and guiding and evaluating student development. The role involves communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, as well as participating in training sessions to stay informed about educational best practices and state requirements.
Qualifications
State-certified teaching credentials in Early Childhood Education, B-2 highly preferred
Proficiency in lesson planning, Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold
Strong foundation in education and early childhood development theories
Exceptional communication skills, including engaging with families, colleagues, and students
Demonstrated ability in teaching and classroom management
Experience in providing training and mentorship to assistant teachers or other staff
Passion for fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment for children
Comfortability with computers highly preferred
