Position Overview We are seeking a results-oriented Vice President of Sales to drive sales growth through prospecting, developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers within the Northeast US territory. This role requires a high level of professionalism, strategic thinking, and independent judgement to manage the full sales cycle and contribute to the company’s mission.

Core Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues to support organizational goals.

Manage the complete sales process including customer prospecting, identify opportunities, close sales, coordinate financing, installation and training, and conduct post-installation follow-up and relationship building.

Analyze customer needs to recommend new and used equipment, service contracts, and exclusive supply sourcing.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information in the CRM system, including contact records and lead tracking.

Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, offering solutions and recommending process improvements.

Safeguard customer and company information by maintaining confidentiality.

Stay current on product knowledge through vendor training, trade shows, and professional publications.

Participate in scheduled sales training and team meetings.

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional association meetings as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent experience).

10+ years of successful sales experience in capital equipment, preferably CNC machinery.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and CNC applications.

Excellent communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, and presentation skills.

Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Exceptional customer service orientation.

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy.

Preferred Skills

Technical background in mechanical or industrial engineering.

Experience working with machine shops, OEMs, or manufacturing facilities.

Strong technical understanding of CNC machinery.

Familiarity with financing options for capital equipment.

Ability to understand and apply financial analysis and technical specifications.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Frequent travel by car and air, prolonged sitting.

Extended periods of standing and walking during trade shows and site visits.

Capability of occasional lifting of equipment or materials.

Ability to distinguish colors and read documents clearly (no color blindness).

Effective verbal communication and active listening skills.

Exposure to manufacturing environments with moderate noise levels.
