Description We are seeking a Director, Healthcare Services – IT to lead complex assignments that combine technology, operations, and finance. The role requires deep healthcare industry knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive measurable improvement for private‑equity portfolios and operating health‑care companies.
The Team The Healthcare Industry Group (HIG) focuses on delivering transformational value to private‑equity firms and public/private healthcare companies. Our services span performance improvement, cost optimization, M&A, finance operations, and interim management. The team also supports digital technology, analytics, compliance, and governance.
How You Will Contribute
Identify and implement opportunities to reduce cost structure through technology and operational redesign.
Optimize the technology stack—systems, products, process, data, security—to improve top‑line and bottom‑line performance.
Develop IT synergy models, one‑time cost profiles, TSA and carve‑out considerations pre‑deal and execute integrations and post‑deal value creation.
Provide guidance to help clients manage crises and execute performance improvement plans.
Conduct operational data analysis to develop KPI metrics and track meaningful change.
Summarize and present analysis findings to senior client audiences.
Lead work streams, manage day‑to‑day engagement priorities, and coach junior staff.
Build client relationships, identify new opportunities, and support marketing initiatives.
Contribute to the development of product and service offering tools and templates.
Qualifications
High energy, passion for healthcare, and experience solving complex problems.
Minimum 12 years of experience in healthcare, consulting, or a healthcare‑related industry, including a focus on IT.
Experience with acquisition, integration, and transformation from an IT deal perspective.
Experience in one or more leading clinical application domains (e.g., EMR/EHR, Practice Management).
Experience in Med‑tech manufacturing applications (e.g., MES, QMS, Inventory).
Experience in corporate functional domains (e.g., HRIS, ERP/Finance, Cloud Stack).
Advanced analytics and reporting skills, strong Excel and financial modeling expertise.
Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, and familiarity with Visio, Tableau or Power BI, SQL, SPSS, or benchmarking tools.
Solid project management and organizational skills.
Fundamental understanding of healthcare finance, operations, valuation, and regulation.
Sound judgment and ability to manage project escalations.
Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel as required.
BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), or related fields.
