Seeking an experienced Medical Lab Scientist II with strong Blood Bank experience to support a busy night-shift clinical laboratory. Role involves blood product assignments, emergency releases, and MTP support during peak evening hours. Responsibilities
Perform complex Blood Bank testing and analysis. Assign blood products and support emergency release/MTP processes. Work independently in a fast-paced night shift environment. Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and internal quality standards. Communicate effectively with internal departments for patient care needs. Required qualifications
ASCP or AMT certification – REQUIRED Florida Medical Technologist / MLS license – REQUIRED Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related Chemical/Biological Science Must meet CLIA requirements for high-complexity testing Minimum 2 years of Blood Bank experience Generalist experience with strong competency in Blood Bank Preferred
Experience with Cerner LIS Strong problem-solving skills and high accuracy Comfort working independently during night hours TB: Required Flu & Hep B: Offered (declination accepted) Credentialing
