We are seeking a dedicated Senior Staff Accountant to play a pivotal role in our financial operations. This position requires close collaboration with a diverse range of personnel and will significantly contribute to the daily functions of our office.
Responsibilities
Monthly Bank Account Reconciliation: Ensure accurate reconciliation of all bank accounts on a monthly basis to maintain financial integrity.
Balance Sheet Accountability: Oversee the reconciliation and accountability of various balance sheet accounts, including comprehensive management of bank accounts, fixed assets, and equity accounts.
Job Cost Tracking: Accurately track job costs for projects in both the pre-development and development phases, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Inter-Company Ledger Reconciliation: Reconcile all inter-company general ledger accounts to support accurate financial reporting.
Budget Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and distribution of monthly budget versus actual reports, providing insights to enhance financial decision-making.
Cash Flow Management: Assist the Controller or CFO in cash flow forecasting and analysis, contributing to strategic financial planning.
General Ledger Preparation: Prepare the general ledgers that culminate in internal and external financial statements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Audit and Tax Support: Facilitate year-end audit procedures and tax preparation, providing essential support for financial reviews and filings.
Contract Monitoring: Diligently monitor, manage, and accurately record all contracts within budget line items to ensure adherence to financial goals.
Requirements
High School diploma required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
3-5 years of general accounting experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Proficiency in essential software applications, including MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Previous experience in the commercial or residential real estate industry is preferred, bringing industry-specific knowledge to the role.
