Are you an experienced General Manager or Plant Manager from an oil & gas or contract manufacturing environment, looking to join a global organization where you can take full ownership of a complex operation and drive meaningful change? This is a senior leadership opportunity to lead a manufacturing site through transformation, consolidation, and long‑term improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a high‑caliber operational leader who is ready to take the next step in their career, where you will combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution to elevate performance across the business.
The company is a global manufacturer supporting multiple industries, recognized for innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. With significant investment planned over the coming years, they are seeking a strong General Manager who can strengthen the organization, build a fact‑based culture, and deliver measurable improvements across productivity, quality, and financial performance.
In this highly influential role, you will relocate to California with relocation support and take full responsibility for integrating two adjacent manufacturing buildings into one unified operation. You will lead with operational discipline, drive continuous improvement and process standardization, implement KPIs, and create a culture where decisions are driven by data and facts. You will manage senior leaders across Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Customer Service, and act as the senior on‑site representative for regular customer and stakeholder engagement.
The Ideal Candidate (Non‑Negotiable) This role requires a leader who leads with operational astuteness. You must demonstrate strong situational leadership, adapting your approach to different teams and challenges, and be comfortable making difficult people and operational decisions when required.
You must be highly process‑driven, with a clear understanding of why processes and systems exist, not just how to follow them. A strong, practical understanding of quality systems is essential. You must understand their purpose, how they protect the business, and how they drive operational excellence.
This is a role for someone who can clearly articulate objectives, communicate concisely, and drive execution without ambiguity in a change‑oriented environment.
