Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk OB expertise and an active IL license.
Responsibilities
Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
Level 3 high-risk OB patient population
Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month)
Mandatory floating within scope and to other units as needed, including up to 50 miles away
Uses Cerner for charting
Responsibilities include caring for laboring patients with high-risk pregnancies and related complications
May be required to float to other units or locations within 50 miles as needed
Strict compliance with hospital onboarding and lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
Navy blue scrubs are required and not provided
No block scheduling or special schedule requests are permitted
Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days and no RTO on weekends, holidays, or immediately before/after holidays
Facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center
Requirements
Active IL RN license required (no pending licensure accepted)
Minimum 2 years of high-risk, level 3 OB experience
Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, NIHSS
AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
Must be able to meet physical and clinical requirements of the unit
Must reside within 75 miles of the facility (locals preferred)
