Public Assistance Analyst I (PCN 068523) This position is open to Alaskan residents only and is exempt from the hiring freeze.

As a Public Assistance Analyst I for the Child Care Program Office, you will serve as a subject‑matter expert for the Child Care Assistance, Child Care Grant, and Alaska Inclusive Child Care programs.

You will work with a team of well‑trained professionals who oversee grantees administering the Child Care Assistance Program and provide support and technical assistance to agency staff, work service providers, childcare providers, and families.

Responsibilities

Research, analyze, and recommend policies, procedures, program eligibility, and internal processes to effect change.

Provide oversight to grantees administering the Child Care Assistance Program.

Offer support and technical assistance to agency staff, work service providers, childcare providers, and families.

Collaborate on projects related to eligibility computing system operations, procedures, and techniques.

Qualifications & Competencies

Education or experience in public assistance operations, client management, and case administration.

Experience in eligibility computing system operations or related technical duties.

Analytical thinking, problem‑solving, reading comprehension, and proficiency in public assistance operations.

Valid and current Alaska driver's license.
