Sr Manager Technical Accounting US GAAP - Manufacturing FAAZ Consulting LLC is a certified SBA 8(a) and Woman‑Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in IT, finance, and professional services staffing for federal, state, and commercial customers. We partner with organizations to support critical hiring needs across technical, operational, and corporate functions. We are currently assisting one of our major clients in the manufacturing sector in identifying a skilled Senior Manager, Technical Accounting.

Position Summary The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting will support our manufacturing client by leading its technical accounting function, including the transition from IFRS to US GAAP, policy development, and preparation of SEC‑compliant financial filings. This role requires expert knowledge of US GAAP, strong analytical capabilities, and prior experience supporting public or highly regulated entities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and manage the company’s transition from IFRS to US GAAP, including the creation and implementation of updated accounting policies.

Review and adjust existing IFRS‑based processes to ensure alignment with US GAAP requirements.

Develop and deliver internal training and communications related to US GAAP updates and technical accounting topics.

Maintain and enhance group accounting policies to ensure ongoing US GAAP compliance.

Research, interpret, and apply new accounting standards, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and other relevant guidance.

Prepare, review, and assist with SEC financial reporting, including 10‑K, 10‑Q, and 8‑K filings.

Collaborate with internal departments, leadership, and external auditors on technical accounting matters.

Support SOX compliance activities and contribute to internal control documentation.

Conduct technical accounting research and prepare supporting memoranda.

Provide guidance to cross‑functional teams related to accounting impacts on business initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA certification preferred (active or inactive).

Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting experience, including substantial technical accounting responsibilities.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

Experience with IFRS conversion preferred.

Experience working within public companies or regulated industries; Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.

Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards consistently and accurately.

Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and financial reporting tools.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Position will be hybrid, remote, or on‑site depending on client needs.

Requires extended periods of computer‑based work and participation in meetings.

Occasional travel may be required.

Employment Type
