Summary We’re seeking an engineer with a strong background in electronics, and expertise in neuroscience and/or biomedical engineering to develop novel medical devices. This role offers a unique opportunity to integrate advanced materials science, neurobiology, and bioengineering in a collaborative environment that bridges academia and industry. You will help shape the next generation of neural interfaces, from concept to preclinical validation. Design and build new stimulation equipment for our brain-computer interfaces. Design and build new sensor prototypes for our brain-computer interfaces. Work within a cross-functional team (neuroscience, nanotech, materials, hardware, software) to test novel BCI technology. Contribute to regulatory planning and documentation supporting upcoming clinical trials. Operate, maintain, and expand our
state-of-the-art neurotech laboratories
in Palo Alto. Develop prototypes, maintain data integrity, and contribute to publications and IP filings. Qualifications
Must-have experience Strong background in electrical engineering Proven hands-on experience with
biomedical devices
(BCI experience a plus) Deep understanding of
photonics
and/or
magnetics Passion for neuro-electronic interfacing or brain-computer interfaces Self-sufficient
and comfortable in a dynamic,
high-risk/high-reward startup
environment. Demonstrated ability to develop innovative IP for academia and/or industry Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, physics, or a related field Masters or PhD in neuroscience, neurotechnology, biomedical engineering or a related field 0–2 years of post-doc or industry experience.
