Wastewater Superintendent The Wastewater Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations on wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for supervising crews, managing subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and ensuring high-quality, safe execution of all project activities.

Primavera P6 experience is mandatory

to support schedule development, updates, and progress tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and coordinate field personnel on wastewater treatment plant construction, upgrades, or pipeline projects.

Oversee daily field operations including installation, excavation, structural concrete, mechanical assemblies, and system tie-ins.

Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in

Primavera P6 , including baseline schedules, look-ahead schedules, and progress reporting.

Monitor and enforce compliance with project specifications, drawings, QA/QC requirements, and safety regulations.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure work progresses efficiently.

Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site inspections to maintain a safe working environment.

Track labor, equipment, and material quantities; provide daily reports and documentation.

Identify field issues, propose solutions, and support change management processes.

Ensure project milestones are met while maintaining productivity and budget targets.

Required Qualifications

6-15 years of experience as a Superintendent

in wastewater, water treatment, or heavy civil construction.

Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 , including schedule creation, updating, reporting, and resource tracking.

Hands‑on experience with wastewater processes, structural concrete, piping systems, mechanical installations, and civil site work.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and construction specifications.

Excellent leadership, communication, and field‑coordination skills.

Demonstrated commitment to safety and knowledge of OSHA requirements.

Valid driver’s license; ability to work full‑time onsite.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on large municipal or industrial wastewater treatment plant projects.

Knowledge of startup, commissioning, and system testing procedures.

Previous experience managing union or mixed labor environments.

Certifications: OSHA 30, QSP/QSD, Confined Space, or similar.
