Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Cardiac ICU position in a Level I Trauma Center, requiring CT or compact licensure and critical care experience with PA catheters.
Responsibilities
Short-term acute care hospital setting in the Cardiac ICU (CCU)
Level I Trauma Center with over 1,000 beds
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
Patient ratio is typically 1:2 including days, nights, and weekends
Floating required to ICU and PCU units
Care for cardiac critical patients including those with PA catheters
Uses Epic electronic medical record system
Position available to first-time travelers
Pre-start and annual modules required, estimated completion time 2 hours
Must participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
Limited paid parking available at an additional cost
RTO of up to 7 days can be auto approved
Team-based environment with support for new travelers
Requirements
Active CT or compact RN license (or proof of application prior to start)
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years critical care experience required, or 1.5 years if from a Level I trauma center or large hospital
Experience with PA catheters required
Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless with approved religious or medical exemption
Must provide one professional reference
Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility
Returning staff must have been gone for at least 2 years to be considered
