Job Details Position Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Senior Property Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for our real estate portfolio and retail operations. This role will collaborate closely with Property Management, Development, Leasing, and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly rent invoices and oversee collections, including late fees
Track tenant sales and calculate percentage rents
Maintain rent rolls and tenant ledgers, ensuring accurate recording of rent and CAM charges
Handle accounting for tenant move-ins and move-outs
Support property managers with accounting inquiries and assist with tenant communications
Manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of commercial and residential properties
Process and code AP invoices, coordinating approvals with property managers
Reconcile AR ledger and ensure accurate deposit recording
Perform reconciliations for credit cards, bank statements, and general ledger accounts
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods
Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and year-end close
Track CAPEX and project-related expenditures
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and external reporting requirements
Provide support for ad hoc projects and financial analysis
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
5+ years of accounting experience (commercial real estate experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of budgeting and CAM reconciliations
Proficiency in property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
