Job Title: Mainframe Stroage Engineer
Duration: 18 Month W2 Contract
Location: Plano, TX
Required Pay Scale: $59/hour
Job Summary: Systems engineering activities supporting Mainframe (System z) Storage projects with varying degrees of complexity
includes system design, build, development, implementation, maintenance, operations, and client support across infrastructure and software.
Project Details:
Looking for a mid level to a senior mainframe storage engineer- 5-10 years- this role is more Disk or Disc focused Looking for someone to be able to write some technical documentation / technical writing Be independenttake ownership of work! Tech skills to include: Experience with Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication Experience with IBM TAPE GRID configurations Experience with Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors and channel extension Involved with implementation of new MF Storage technologies In-depth knowledge of ACC/SRS, ACS, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and DFDSS Self-starter and able to work without hands-on supervision Proficient with SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX Project management skills Assembler, CLIST, and REXX knowledge Conceptual understanding of Mainframe Operations
