Principal Worldwide Specialist, Redshift, Data & AI GTM – Amazon Web Services (AWS)

If you love building strategic, data‑driven businesses, join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Analytics team as a Sr. WW GTM Specialist for Amazon Redshift on AWS.
Within WWSO this role leads the global GTM strategy for Amazon Redshift and related services, enabling customers to modernize their data analytics workloads and deliver insights with a fully managed, cost‑effective cloud data warehouse. You will drive adoption of Amazon Redshift through strategic programs, global initiatives, and influence specialists, architects, partners, and account teams worldwide. You will partner with technical and business teams across AWS, bring the voice of the customer into product development, and set the direction for how we solve customer problems in the Redshift domain.
Key Job Responsibilities
Serve as the global subject‑matter expert for Amazon Redshift across sales, solution architecture, partner, and marketing teams.
Develop and scale Redshift GTM plays, sales assets, and enablement for key use cases (e.g., data warehousing modernization, real‑time analytics, ML inferences).
Build and execute cross‑sell plays attaching other 1P or 3P analytics and data processing services to Redshift.
Support strategic customer opportunities as a trusted advisor—aligning Redshift capabilities to customer requirements and differentiating against competitors.
Drive field readiness and execution through training, account planning, and stakeholder engagement across geographies and segments.
Partner with AWS service teams, Redshift product marketing, and field leadership to inform roadmap and GTM priorities based on market signals.
Track and report on Redshift adoption trends, competitive dynamics, and revenue impact to influence GTM strategy.
Serve as a thought leader for Redshift, delivering presentations at internal enablement sessions, customer briefings, and industry events.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
Experience selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services.
Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level.
7+ years building successful go‑to‑market programs that produce results at scale with a globally distributed field sales force covering account managers (prospectors) and specialist sellers (closers) for data and analytics products.
Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner.
Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations.
10+ years of experience in cloud data analytics, enterprise software, or GTM leadership roles.
Deep technical and commercial understanding of cloud data warehouses, including Amazon Redshift, and familiarity with alternatives like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
Proven success in field enablement, workload selling, or solution specialist roles within a highly matrixed environment.
Strong executive communication skills—able to clearly articulate the value of Redshift to both business and technical stakeholders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
