We are seeking a Nurse Director to join the Endoscopy Department, which is ranked among the nation’s top hospitals for Adult Gastroenterology and GI Surgery. The department includes Adult and Pediatric units offering advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for emergency, inpatient, and ambulatory patients.
Job Summary
Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing services at the assigned location.
Manage all operational services within the location, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and regional regulations.
Supervise staff, set mutually agreed goals, and evaluate performance.
Implement strategies to enhance retention and reduce turnover.
Promote a safe and positive working environment.
Ensure RN supervisors and clinical care managers are aware of updated policies and procedures.
Prepare departmental budget and operate within budgetary guidelines.
Assign patients for day‑to‑day management to nursing coordinators and/or Nursing Supervisors/Managers.
Qualifications Education
Master’s Degree in Nursing required, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required and Master’s Degree in a related field.
Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse (RN) – State License (generic) required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Experience
Nursing management: 3–5 years required.
Operating Room experience: Minimum 5 years in a complex healthcare setting.
Leadership experience: 3–5 years required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
Commitment to clinical excellence.
Calmness in stressful situations.
Ability to adjust actions in response to others’ actions.
Knowledge of Regulatory Agency regulations.
